You grew this baby. You will birth this baby. Hypnobirthing gives you the tools, the knowledge and the unshakeable inner authority to do exactly that — whatever direction your birth takes.

You are about to do the most extraordinary thing a human body can do. You have probably spent months thinking about your pregnancy. Your scans. Your appointments. Your nursery.

Have you spent time preparing for the moment she actually arrives? Not reading about it. Not hoping for the best. Preparing — with knowledge, with practice, with the kind of deep inner readiness that means when that moment comes, you are not just present for it. You are inside it. Fully. Completely. Yourself.

That is what this weekend gives you.

A word on the name

Let us be honest about something. Hypnobirthing is possibly the most ridiculously named programme in existence. It conjures images of surrendering control, of being put under, of someone else being in charge of your experience.

Which is almost perfectly the opposite of what it actually is.

Hypnobirthing is built on connection. To yourself. To your baby. To the profound intelligence your body already carries. It is the practice of turning inward so completely that when the moment arrives, you are not bracing for it. You are inside it. Present, capable, and fully yourself.

The name almost put me off too. I am so glad it did not.

What nobody tells you

You were born capable of this. Every woman is. Your body has carried this knowledge since before you were born yourself.

What got in the way was not weakness. It was decades of films, television, and stories that depicted agony and loss of control. Taught you to brace, to need rescuing. That is a distorted depiction of birth. That is conditioning.

And conditioning can be undone.

This weekend is as much about de-conditioning as it is about training.

Your teacher's story

I was the birth they said
couldn't happen.

Baby OneAge 45IVFHigh-Risk
Niki Bowen
"The goal is for you to hold your baby. If you were my client, you would be having a planned caesarean at 39 weeks."

That was my fertility specialist's opening position. I was 45, an IVF mother, and the medical establishment had already written my birth story for me.

I had other plans.

I laboured actively for 24 hours. Naturally. My doula — a woman who had attended hundreds of births — told me she had never been at a birth so primal. Our room became the only labour suite in that hospital from which anyone had ever heard gales of laughter.

He was born naturally, healthfully, and perfect. And then, in the quiet that followed, he announced his name to me. Not in words. In something older than words.

Yes, really.

Baby TwoAge 50IVFCovid LockdownMelbourne

I was 50. Melbourne was in lockdown. Every one of the 9 ob-gyns on the Mornington Peninsula knew me — discussed daily in the final weeks of my pregnancy. An induction was unavoidable.

I accepted it. Then I managed my labour naturally and by myself. My midwife walked in mid-labour and said: "Whoo. You can smell the oxytocin in here." Directing everyone, managing myself beautifully, deep in the experience. Right until the very end, when I stood up and declared there was a problem. Because I knew my body. Because I was paying attention. Because I was deeply connected to the sensations.

Because of this, my second baby was delivered vaginally. Not by the caesarean my obstetrician had prepared for.

"I have never experienced a birthing body so adaptive and so connected to the baby."

My obstetrician, immediately after the birth

What happened next

That birth stayed with her. She went on to pioneer mother-participation caesarean section, placing a woman's agency at the centre of even surgical birth.

My midwife took home the Birth Bliss Boxes I gave her and began sharing them with birthing families across the coast.

My baby didn't just arrive. She changed the world for those who followed.

What this means for you

I am not teaching you theory. I am teaching you what I lived, twice, at 45 and at 50, as an IVF mother, with every medical reason in the room to surrender the experience to someone else.

I did not surrender it. And neither, with the right preparation, do you have to.

Hypnobirthing did not give me a perfect, pain-free birth. It gave me something far more powerful: the tools to remain the author of my own story, whatever direction it took.

That is what I want for you.

The truth about birth

"Your body knows how to birth.
Your mind feels fear."

Hypnobirthing is the education that enables you to bypass your lifelong expectation of how birth is meant to be — and allow it to be how it is. You have been shown image after image, film after film of women in torture and pain. It does not have to be that way.

Hypnobirthing teaches you the techniques that allow your mind to relax and disengage — and empower your body to work exactly how it is built to.

Your Birth.
Your Way.

A Hypnobirth is mother and baby centric. It partners with your birth professionals wherever you choose to birth — or even if you get caught in the car en route. It is a suite of tools, techniques, strategies and education that empower you to be an active member of your birthing team — not a passenger in your own experience.

What this weekend gives you

Four things that are different after this weekend

🧠

You understand your body

You know what is physiologically happening at each stage. That knowledge alone dissolves the majority of fear.

🫚

Breath becomes a tool

Specific techniques for each stage of labour, practised until they are reflex — not something you try to recall under pressure.

💬

You know how to listen to yourself

The capacity to stand up in your own birth suite and declare something matters. That capacity is teachable. That is what this weekend builds.

🤝

Your partner knows what to do

A genuine, practised, purposeful role in the room. Not just instructions to hold your hand. That changes everything.

This intensive is not for you if
  • You want to hand your birth over entirely to others and be told what to do
  • You believe everything you have seen in birth scenes on TV and film
  • You are looking for a passive experience — this is hands-on, practical and deeply personal
  • You are due in under eight weeks — reach out first. We can still make it work, but you will need a more personalised approach.
What happens across the programme

Three sessions. Complete preparation.

Why Friday and Saturday?

Friday means children are at school — one working day taken, no childcare to arrange. Saturday requires no leave and carries none of the pressure of a weekday. Together: one day where the world handles itself, one day that is naturally yours. The most accessible format for families at every stage — whether this is your first baby or your third.

Day One — In PersonFriday 12 June
  • The science of birth fear & how to dismantle it
  • Your birthing body — anatomy & physiology
  • Mongan Method breathing — hands on
  • The fear-tension-pain cycle & how to break it
  • Birth partner roles & practical training
Day Two — In PersonSaturday 13 June
  • Deep relaxation & self-hypnosis practice
  • Navigating your birth team with confidence
  • Birth planning — every scenario
  • Communicating with your medical team
  • Tools for every birth — natural, induced, surgical
Follow-Up Session — Included

Monday 15 June · Online via Zoom

Two days after the intensive, we come back together online. You have had time to sit with what you learned. This session is for questions, integration, and the beginning of your daily practice — the first time you deliberately carve out an evening just for you and your partner, as a couple preparing for birth. That habit matters more than you know.

Exclusive Bonus · First 5 Families Only

A complimentary 1:1 Family Foundation Planning session — yours to keep.

The first 5 families to secure their place receive a private, one-to-one session with Niki — delivered after the intensive, before your baby arrives, while you still have the headspace to plan and the time to act.

This is one less thing on your shoulders before birth. You choose your focus:

01

Financial planning for a growing family

Get clear on the numbers before the pressure arrives — parental leave, single income, costs, and what a family budget actually looks like

02

Parenting strategies before the baby arrives

Align on your values, your approach, and what kind of parents you want to be — before exhaustion makes those conversations harder

03

Accommodating a new child into your life

Work, relationship, identity, existing children — a practical plan for the transition so nothing gets left to chance or resentment

Available to all families who book before 30 May 2026. Delivered after the intensive, before your baby arrives.
